We have arrived!

We are officially moved into our apartment in Hopkins, Minnesota. Mike started the training part of his job this last Monday and it's all online/telephone conference calls and at home. So he hasn't had to make trips anywhere yet. Aiden started his first day at his preschool/daycare today and at first he was a little nervous but then started playing and by the end of the day he said that he could come back tomorrow. So it must not be that bad. I am doing some job searching still and getting in touch with a lot of people so hopefully soon I get something started, it would be nice to get into a routine!
I will post of pictures of our new place sometime soon, hopefully over the weekend. My time limit on the computer is almost up!! :)

We're Moving!

Mike got a job for Avanade in Minneapolis. So we will be looking at moving to the Twin Cities area over Easter weekend. He starts his new job on the 9th of April, so we'll have to move over that weekend. We are going to look for an apartment over this upcoming weekend that we both have off. I'll let everyone know more when we get more details. I've already started to look for a job also, but that hasn't been too long yet. Alright well that's our exciting news. :)

Happenings in Sioux City.....

I haven't been on to post anything in a really long time so I thought while I had a few minutes before Curious George is over and I need to start making supper, I'll get on and let everyone know we're still here! Mike is getting into the job hunting market. So far he's had one onsite interview (but didn't get the job :( ) and tomorrow he has a phone interview. He also has apps out to a couple other places but hasn't heard from them yet. He'll keep applying to various places until he gets some results though! :) I'll do my best to keep you informed. But we would appreciate the prayers b/c we're very tired of being in the transitional phase....half our apt is packed in boxes and we have a bunch of boxes waiting but no where to go yet....so it would be nice to be able to do something!
Otherwise we're doing fine. My job is still going well and I'm not looking forward to having to look for a new one. But oh well, that's life. Aiden is crazy as ever, I guess a little more so.....I think he has cabin fever, bouncing off the walls...etc..but overall he's still being a pretty good kid....I'll try to post some pictures either tonight or in the next few days. Halloween!

As you can see, Aiden was a spider for Halloween. He thought it was great. This was the first year that he actually went trick or treating, and he absolutely loved it! He thought it was hilarious. He keeps asking about Halloween just about every night when it gets dark. But he doesn't worry too much about it when we tell him it's not going to be for awhile. We also did pumpkins a couple weeks before Halloween and of course he had a good old time with that. Definately loves the camera! :)

Off to Vegas

Well, I'm waiting for our meeting time to head to Omaha and then to Las Vegas! Myself and 2 of my coworkers are going to Vegas for a 3 day Oncology conference. I'm way excited and more than enough belongings packed I could probably stay for longer than 3 days :) We're leaving in just about a half an hour from here and then to Omaha to fly to Denver and then on to Vegas. One of the nurses that we know from the cancer center here in town has been to Vegas many times so she has a lot planned for us, I dont' think we'll sleep! Had to double check what all I could and could not take with me in my carry on and what not, that took forever! I'm just hoping that getting through security won't take too long, that is such a pain but very comforting! :) I'll post something when I get back to share what we all did out there. Everyone says we'll have a great time and I really don't doubt it :) Alright update you when I get back!

Aiden loves stickers, plus he had recently had a need for some backaids as well, so he thought that maybe stickers would work just as well.

I mainly wanted the picture of his chocolate milk mustache, but he decided to demonstrate a superhero pose along with it!

This time it's mommy eating cookies with Aiden, usually we eat these kind with chocolate frosting but I think I was thinking about my cholesterol this day! :)

Long time - No Post....

I feel like I've been skimping on being on the computer, I guess I have been a little busy lately. We went on vacation a couple weeks ago, we went up to Minneapolis, I have a whole blog ready to post for that trip but I can't get the pictures to appear and I really haven't had a chance to mess with it yet. Last weekend we had my G-ma and G-pa Woodley's 50th Anniversary dinner so we were gone for that, and then it seems like all I've been doing is working...I'm also trying to study for my certification test that I'm going to take in Oct. So I've been slacking on the computer. Besides the fact that my son has been driving me half crazy and my husband is driving my other half crazy....Aiden has just reached the point where he is very wound up a lot of the time, he's finding anything and every reason to get up out of his bed at night (which doesn't allow me to get to bed when I would prefer to), he LOVES to wrestle and jump on EVERYONE!!!, and he's just 3 basically...And Mike is changing his job that he has while he's in school. He absolutely hates the warehouse where he works currently and finally had enough when they increased his hours for the summer (supposedly temporary) so he's going back to HyVee while he's finishing school, he knows how stuff works there, he has a boss who respects him as a person and so, in turn, Mike respects him, he'll actually be getting paid a little more too....but he's way stressed out about it, I think b/c it's a change and it's while he's trying to focus on school, but it does help that he knows he only has to have it until he gets a job in his actual career field....which will be done in less than a year, actually I think now we're on the 6 month slide here.
I think once we've gotten used to the new routine with mike's new job and all of our parents (that watch Aiden regularly when we are working) get back from vacations (my mom is gone for a week or so, and my in-laws are going to Alaska and will be gone for July, yes all of July), I won't feel so off kilter (I'm not sure how it's spelled but you get the idea). Ok, I think I'm done rambling now. I'll try to get on soon and try to get pics on from our trips. :)
